Big: the musical at the Storybook Theatre: based on the Tom Hanks movie of the same name, about a kid who wishes to be a grownup and finds his wish granted. Through December 22.
The Nutcracker, presented by Alberta Ballet: This one's a Christmas classic and fun for all ages to attend. In Calgary through December 24.
The Calgary Nativity Pageant: runs the six days prior to Christmas and features live animals and acting.
The Festival of Lights: Drive by and see the over 100,000 lights between now and January 8.
Zoolights at the Calgary Zoo. The Calgary zoo boasts over a million lights at its annual holiday light show. Runs through January 6.
It's a Wonderful Life at the Rosebud Theatre: Come and see a stage version of this holiday classic. The show runs through December 22.
Sing Along Messiah presented by VoiceScapes at the Knox United Church. Sing along with Handel's Messiah, a holiday favorite. Happening December 22.
