Natures Hidden Gems while Social Distancing

Many of us are struggling to find new ways to enjoy the outdoors, find somewhere you haven't already visited or been to avoid any kind of crowd.  While social distancing can make this a challenge, these 3 suggestions might be a good place to find some seclusion for a hike or just enjoy a scenic drive.

The Highwood River - Longview Access:  Yes the Highwood River runs through Kananaskis and this can be an area that draws crowds but if you head out to Longview the drive is gorgeous and access to the river can be a bit of a challenging walk but it is worth it!  You will be sure to find seclusion and the scenery is breathtaking!

The Badlands:  There are SO many access points into the amazing Badlands.  Most people associate The Badlands with Drumheller but the truth is, you can find these incredible hills ranging from Big Valley, AB all the way to Drumheller making seclusion easy to find!  They are relatively easy to hike and the scenery via walking or driving is truly incredible!

Cowboy Trail:  You really can't go wrong with this scenic drive...and if you plan to pull over and find a quiet place to enjoy nature, dress appropriately as it is well known for its high winds!!!!
