Something Positive From Covid-19

This is definitely a challenging time for all of us with massive changes to our work and family life.  Many of us are now balancing work at home with kids, cooking all meals, staying life day by day with the inability to make future plans is the new "Normal" as it is being stated.  So rather than focus on what we can't do or have lost due to Covid, I asked my friends and family on social media "What have you learned thru Covid that has made and will continue to make your life better?"  The responses are below:

"I have learned the art of weekly meal planning, leading to efficient grocery shopping"

"Always put time into intentionally building all your relationships - it's the little things"

"It's OK to slow down"

"My love for Donald Trump"  

"I have learned to enjoy the journey because you never really know when things will change"

"That the little jobs around the house actually don't take that much time and are easier to get done rather than procrastinate for 6 years!"

"That it's OK to paint your own truck with rollers and brushes"

"Realizing how much money we spent on useless items/outtings...we can allocate more money to travel and experiences moving forward"

"Cooking at home and eating together...eating on the run will definitely be less frequent"

"My kids are capable of cleaning the house and will continue to do so!"

"Being active and working out as a family and getting creative on ways to stay healthy & fit"

"Taking more time to give...dropping off baked goods and meals to friends & neighbors, impromtu visits with friends & family, drive-by birthday celebrations.  We don't always have to wait for a plan to be together"

"Realizing that my staff can be productive working at home (for some MORE productive) and I will be offering more flexibility with working from home part time if it works better for my employees"

"A whole new respect for stay home parents!"

"READING!!  Put down the phone, turn off the TV and read...amazing how much I have missed this and how good it is for my mind"

"Meditation...even as little as 15 minutes a day to quiet my mind and count my blessings...something I never did before in the everyday hussle"
